Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment. Note: A Bachelor’s Degree may substitute the required work experience.Ī Paralegal/Associates Degree or 60 college credits may substitute the required work experience.Ī Paralegal Certificate may substitute for the required work experience. Perform other duties as assigned to include, but not limited to, providing backup cashiering or courtroom clerk duties.Įducation: High School Diploma (or GED equivalent)Įxperience: One (1) year of work experience, preferably in court operations, or in the fields of criminal justice, parole, and probation, legal or financial services. File room duties: Retrieve files from file room for pleadings. Assist and perform clerk duties in other sections, as needed. Assist customers by telephone and at office counter, providing information within office guidelines. Distribute filings to appropriate desk/queue. Receive filings/new cases, checking to ensure filing meets requirements of rules and fees associated with filing. Greets the general public and court related personnel and assists with information about cases, proper completion of court forms, or explaining court policies and procedure by telephone or in person.
